What is inasec?

inaseccomes from “in a second”. It is a growing collection of small, fast tools for everyday practical questions, whether the question is technical, financial, or just a piece of daily life. Free to use, no signup, no ads getting in the way of the answer.

What you will find here

Fifty-eight tools today, split across six categories. Some do quick math (loans, taxes, percentages, tips). Some help with everyday planning (countdowns, timezones, sleep cycles, water intake, BMI). Some are for developers and IT (DNS lookups, HTTP headers, JWT decoding, cron expressions, port checks, hash and UUID generation). If a category applies to you, it is one click away.

What happens to what you type

Different tools work differently. Many run entirely in your browser: the password checker, hash and UUID generators, JWT decoder, image tools, JSON formatter, and most calculators do all of their work in JavaScript on your device, and nothing about your input leaves it.

A few tools need to talk to a server or an external service to do their job. DNS lookups go to Cloudflare over HTTPS. The uptime checker, HTTP headers inspector, and port checker fetch on your behalf from our server. The currency converter reads live rates from a public exchange-rate API. The IP lookup tool uses a public geolocation service. In each case, only the specific value needed for the request is sent, and none of it is stored on our side.

The site uses one analytics ping (Google Analytics) for aggregate page views and a small set of product events. That event layer is enforced against a strict allowlist in code: it never sends passwords, tokens, hashes, pasted text, URLs you inspected, hostnames, or anything else you typed into a tool. See the privacy policy for the full picture.

About the AI helper

Some tools include an optional Ask AI box below the calculator. It sends your typed question only when you click Ask. The raw input of the tool (your password, your JWT, the text you are diffing, the URL you looked up) is not sent. On a few tools a small piece of safe derived metadata like a strength label or a category is included so the answer can be useful. The AI is there to help make a result easier to understand or to answer a follow-up in plain English, not to replace the tool.

Common questions

Is it free?
Yes. No paid tier and no signup wall. Every tool is free to use as often as you want.
Do I need an account?
No. There are no accounts. Nothing to create, nothing to log into, nothing to cancel.
Are there ads?
No third-party ad networks. A single Sponsored slot appears on a handful of tool pages, always labeled "Sponsored" and always below the tool result, never on top of it.
